It's a miracle: I survived my first real winter. What felt like a never ending 4 months of jackets, leggings under jeans, scarves, and ear warmers... is coming to an end. As each tree in my neighborhood starts to blossom, I become more and more excited for the warm weather that goes with it. Today, I didnt even have to wear my jacket outside when I went to the bank on my lunch break. Having lived in San Diego for the past 5 years, I have been spoiled with gorgeous weather 24/7. Living in Seoul has made me appreciate the little things, like real seasons, flowers, and sunshine. This weekend we plan to have a picnic and check out some of the Cherry Blossoms nearby. I couldn't be happier that winter is over. Hello Spring, you are just lovely.

Welcome Spring!

Dog Cafe
The most recent stop on my crazy cafe list, was a Dog Cafe in Gangnam called Caffe Paws. Since Kyle and I miss Tazzy oh so much, we decided an afternoon stop for some coffee and doggies would be a temporary cure. There were all sorts of breeds there, but my favorite was the little fur ball in shades.
Namsan Tower
It only took me four months but I finally made it to Namsan Tower. After riding the subway, taking the bus, and a little walking we finally made it to the top of the hill just after Sunset. It was a chilly night and we decided not to wait in the long line to go to the top of the tower,... this time. I didn't mind, especially since my camera died shortly after we finally made it. So, I shall return again soon, hopefully on a day with better weather and with a fully charged camera. Here are some photos I took pre-battery death.

Play time
Every Friday my class has an hour of fun class. This week, since the weather was gorgeous, it was park day. We walked across the street and spent an hour playing on all the slides and bridges and soaking up the sunshine we'd been missing for the past couple of months. Fresh air and no books? Yes, please! My kids LOVED it (almost as much as I did). Here are some of my favorite photos from this afternoon.
I don't think I have ever seen these little rascals so worn out since I met them. It was the perfect Friday afternoon to remind me how much fun can be had in one small square of a park.
My favorite hand to hold.
Until next time, in the words of Olivia...

Who's on first?
Today, I attended my first Korean Baseball Game: The Doosan Bears vs. the KIA Tigers. I had heard that Korean Baseball games got pretty crazy, but it was definitely something to see with my own eyes. Each player has his own song when he comes up to bat, and the crowd cheers a specific song/chant/dance for each player as well. It is definitely not a sit-back-and-watch kind of experience. Whether you like Baseball or not, a Korean Baseball game is lots of fun. Unlike the American Hotdog and beer, stands outside sold dried squid, walnuts, and bottles of Soju. We cheered, we danced, and we made lots of noise. I previously had no preference, but after purchasing $2 bangers before walking in, I can see my future as a die hard Bears fan. ;)
Oh, and did I mention the game was across the street from my Korean class, free, and
it started snowing when we walked in? Yeah, talk about hardcore.
I cant wait for the weather to warm up so I can practice my cheers in the sunshine!
GO BEARS ;)
