Shhhhhh, Check

Something i've had on my Seoul Bucket List from day one was to go to a Silent Disco. A DJ plays music and everyone dances in a park in between two busy streets. The only difference is that everyone is wearing headphones so to anyone passing by -- the music is silent. We danced for about an hour, and every couple of minutes or so i'd turn down my volume and watch everyone around me. It was hilarious! Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were off! A huge mob of silent disco-ers dancing through the streets. The photos really can not do any justice, but I thought they were fun to share. :)

Hello Kitty Cafe

Kaylee and I pretended we were on the amazing race, and took a horrible map from the internet in hopes we could find the Hello Kitty Cafe in Hongdae, Seoul. After asking a couple of different people, and wandering around for a bit - we found it. Tucked into a side corner street off the main street in Hongdae, we enjoyed some delicious Hello Kitty Coffee. If you love coffee, pink, and Hello Kitty -- this is the place for you.

A doggy and a brother

I like to tell my kindie kids about my family, friends, and lots of things about my life back in America. Two things they love to hear about are my giant brother and my little puppy, aka: Kyle and Tazzy!!

This is all they ever ask about during story time. I told them that Kyle is as tall as the ceiling and loves to dance. I bribe them to listen and be good by telling them I will show them "Kyle's dance video." They know Kyle is moving to Seoul soon, and they can't wait to meet him. Today, they asked to send a video home to Kyle. Here it is. Introducing Olive classroom (my twelve Korean babies)

Kyle, We can't wait to see your face! (please, bring tazzy)

Gettin' Crafty

Kaylee and I both love painting, drawing, making things, and being crafty. We also love the website: Pinterest.com, and used it for some inspiration to make some little crafty artsy projects today. After visiting two morning glory's, three GS 25's, and two 7-11's, we had our supplies and were ready to start throwing things together. Here is what we created:
Coasters I made from maps i've collected while traveling
[Taipei & Tokyo maps]
Bucket List 2012 board

Seoul map under San Fran Golden Gate
Polka dot candle holders made of old yogurt cups
Bottle cap magnets
A little bit of everything
Birdies from a Tokyo subway map

An idea I found on Pinterest for organizing cords
Sidenote: I found playing cards for 1,000 won!!!  (or $1)
They are super expensive in Korea, (no idea why?) so I was super stoked!

We had a total Sunday funday filled with crafts that ended with some wine, pancakes, and an episode of The Amazing Race. I couldn't have asked for a better end to an amazing weekend.

Next weekend: Celebrating Lunar New Year in Taipei, Taiwan!
