This weekend, Kaylee and I went on a staycation. If you are confused, here is the definition:
stay·ca·tion/ˌstāˈkāSHən/
Noun: |
A vacation spent in one's home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions. |

Since we have lots of weekends ahead booked solid (Mud Festival, World Expo, Jeju, Busan), We decided to go on a little vacation, without leaving Seoul. We had a short list of things we wanted to do, which quickly multiplied once we got really excited about our "trip." It sounds silly, but it was lots of fun. We made sure to relax, wander, and explore like we would normally if we were traveling in a different country. It was fun to see new and old places: places we've been, places we've never been, and places we didn't even know about. We had a couple main touristy spots we wanted to hit, and we knew we wanted to try out a specific Jimjilbong (spa) that we had heard about. We also just got both of our bikes fixed and wanted to take them out for a ride. We cooked yummy breakfasts, went shopping, stopped for coffee, went to a museum, a palace, a monument, a Spa, had Italian food, rode bikes, had a picnic, went to gamble on some bike races, drank wine, cooked a feast, and more. We had some main things we wanted to do, but were completely open to adding a couple additions along the way. I had a fabulous weekend get-a-way, without ever leaving home.

We went to the King Sejong Museum below and this
was my favorite. His face is made up of tiny post it notes with little
things written on each one. Awesome!
