This past Sunday I spent the day in Daejeon. We took the KTX train there, and it took about an hour. We went to the international Food & Wine festival and it was amazing. You are carded at the door, and pay 3,000 won (~$3.00) for a wine glass before you go inside. Once inside, there are booth after booth of wines from all over the world that you can test for free. In the middle of the huge room is an area with bottles that you can have as much as you'd like. We tested a few, found some we liked, poured our glasses and walked around the rest of the venue. There were food tents, music areas, and lots and lots of wine. I don't know tons about wine, so it was fun to taste different kinds and see which I liked and which I didn't like. Overall, it was a fabulous way to spend my Sunday afternoon.
